My little sister is so funny. She almost always refuses to model for my photographs and I always try to convince her to. Yesterday, I asked her a few times but she said no every time until I mentioned that I would put makeup on her. She looked at me for a few seconds before saying, "Okay!". I was completely surprised at her response! She was so excited about the makeup that she got dressed and ready to go out as quickly as she could. I put on eye shadow, mascara, and even curled her eyelashes, which was her favorite part. Then, we found some sparkles that I rubbed on her eyelids and around her eyes. It had just snowed and was utterly frigid, but we went out anyway. I took pictures until my fingers felt numb. When we came back inside, I asked her if she wanted me to wash her makeup off and she said no, she liked having it on. It was fun. She is already extremely beautiful, but the makeup enhanced her beauty even more. Looking at her face like this makes me imagine her as older, and how she will look then. I wonder how she will look when she is my age.. She is only 9 years old now, but I realize that before I know it she will grow into a young women. I can tell that she is obsessed with the idea of being older, hence the excitement over the makeup. It's funny how we always want something until we have it.. I remember wanting to be a teenager and now that I am one, I don't feel any more special. In fact, I envy the simplicity of being younger.
