About Me
My name is Noelle Buske, I am currently sixteen years old, and have a love of photography. It all began when I started taking pictures with my mother's nikon d40 about three or four years ago. It wasn't anything great then, just a bunch of pictures of flowers, leaves, and a whole lot of self-portraits I took in my yard. What began as something I did when I had nothing better to do, soon became one of my biggest passions. What really inspired me was the work of others; I would stare in awe at all the beautiful talent I discovered on Flickr. It was all so inspiring... it is still so inspiring. Artists like Nirrimi Joy Firebrace and Anastasia Volkova would leave me breathless. Their work is phenomenal and, every time I look at it, pushes me to improve my own skills.
To this day, I still take pictures with that same Nikon d40 that I first discovered photography with. I one day hope to purchase a canon eos 5d mark ii (my dream camera) or, more practically, a canon eos 60d. Sometimes I wish I had all the money in the world and could expand my creative resources but, unfortunetaly, life doesn't always work like that. In fact, it rarely does. I am thankful for what I have now and know that it is not just the camera, but also the artist that makes a beautiful photograph.
My biggest love is photography but I also like to paint, draw, and sing. Painting and drawing, to me, are like photography in that the positioning of objects creates the desired composition. I also have a love for colors and painting literally gives you endless possibilities in color combinations. Since I can remember, I have also loved to sing. I usually sing only around my home and almost never sing to others. I hope to one day overcome this fear and really let myself go by singing to people. But for today, I will stick to singing in the shower and in my living room. Another thing that I truly love to do is relax. I get great joy out of simply sitting at my kitchen table with a warm cup of coffee and a few magazines spread out before me. Sometimes, when I'm alone and relaxing, I feel my happiest and most content. I do like to be with people, but only my family and a few friends. I honestly do not like to be around lots of people and end up feeling very claustrophobic and uncomfortable. I once went to a Sara Bareilles concert and, though Sara is one of my favorite singers, did not enjoy myself at all because of how many people were there. Everyone was standing very close together and it was very hot. I much rather listen to Sara Bareilles's music while painting or cooking in the comfort of my own home.
A large part of my life right now is spanish. I am fascinated my other languages and have been studying spanish for sometime now. My goal is to be able to fluently speak it and travel to spanish speaking countries to discover new cultures and experience new things. I have such a strong desire to travel! I don't want to be a person who stays in one place and excludes the endless possibilities and beauty of the rest of the world. I feel that, in order to truly live life to the fullest, you must be open-minded and observe and experience new things. Life is so full of possibilities that can lead you to amazing places, if you let it.
